Dear Colleagues,
We would like to welcome you to the International Conference on  NANOstructures and nanomaterials SElf-Assembly 2024 (NanoSEA 2024) in Marseille, France. It is the 8thedition of a conference series held every two years either at the french or italian seaside. NanoSEA began in Aix-en-Provence (France) in 2006, making this event a significant moment of scientific exchange for all the researchers involved in Nanostructured Materials, 2D Materials and Self-Assembly. This conference is now recognized as a tradition and important forum that during the last two editions attracted around 250 participants in Giardini Naxos (Italy),
www.nanosea2016.imm.cnr.it and in Carqueiranne (France). The conference was planned in Roma in 2020, but was cancelled because of COVID confinement. We expect to host more than 250 worldwide participants for the next edition in Marseille.

NanoSEA provides a comprehensive overview of results from synthesis (of nanomaterials and 2D materials) to properties, processing techniques, and applications. The aim of the conference is to report the inherent progress of the nanoscience, addressing theoretical and experimental approaches to understand the mechanisms of 2D material and nanostructure growth and self-assembly. It encompasses fundamental issues in crystal growth, scaling and shaping of quantum materials to provide original quantum scale devices at atomic and molecular dimensions for applications in advanced microelectronic, spintronic, photonic devices.

The goal of this conference is to bring together the broad, multidisciplinary community of researchers who are interested in the field of nanomaterials and nanostructures and the opportunities for future high-impact science and technology related to such field.

We look forward to welcoming you in Marseille

Isabelle Berbezier (Im2np, CNRS, Marseille, France) , Simona Boninelli (CNR-IMM, Catania, Italy) , Monica Bollani (IFN-CNR, Milano, Italy) , Paola Castrucci (Dipartimento di Fisica – Università Roma Tor Vergata, Roma, Italy)
